The Premium Sand Purging Rod Pump Gas Separator is similar in design to our Rod Pump Gas Separator with the added feature of a bottom check valve that allows it to be installed in high sediment wells.
In Rod Pumping wells, the function of the Premium Sand Purging Rod Pump Gas Separator is to separate free gas and also allow any sand or sediment that has accumulated in the separation chamber to be periodically flushed.
On the down stroke of the pump, back flow from the tubing will open the check valve in the Sand Purging Gas Separator allowing sand and sediment to be flushed from the separation chamber.
As with our Rod Pump Gas Separators, the Sand Purging Rod Pump Gas Separator is also offered with a Stainless Steel Housing instead of regular steel. The Stainless Steel housing offers extra protection in highly corrosive environments.
